Proven security – endless know-how
Few of us manage to build up 118 years of experience in our field of work – however, the "Spelsbergers" in Germany have managed to do that. More than 90% of craftsmen have at some point had one of the family business' innovative electrical products in their hands. Be it everything from junction boxes, small distribution and assembly panels, clamps, flanges, DIN rails, measuring boxes and cabinets for industrial purposes.
Spelsberg meets all existing requirements for electrical installations and sets new standards in line with changing building trends and energy initiatives. The price, yes - it does not increase for that reason and both durability and user-friendliness remain top-notch. The WKE junction boxes are an excellent example when fire protection is at the top of the agenda.
As the quality-conscious dealers we are, we also want to highlight the red series. In it you will find environmentally friendly and halogen-free junction boxes, which – should an accident happen anyway – do not emit dangerous chlorine fumes, as they do not have fluorine, bromine, iodine or phthalates in them. They also carry a VDE certification, which means that they are continuously safety tested by an independent party.
The road to success in the electrical industry
You can probably feel how they tingle in us to geek out on specific electrical components, but Ernst, Günther Spelsberg and Walther Kaiser deserve more credit than that. In the following, we will introduce you to their corporate journey. The activities and the total of 450 employees are today distributed all over the world - production takes place exclusively on German soil.
It began with insulating pipes
The competent masters laid the foundation for Sauerland's strong electrical industry in 1904. They bring together the best forces in the region and the ambitions are high. Production boomed from 1910 to 1919 and the facilities had to be expanded. A cast iron wet room box rolls off the assembly line for the first time in 1926, and it is still a mainstay of product postage, but now admittedly in plastic. Kaiser & Spelsberg dared to invest and with the investment in a hand press, in the 1930s they gave electrical fitters easier working conditions, as they could now get junction boxes in plastic bakelite.
Checking in at world-recognized export fair
Wet room assembly can certainly scare many do-it-yourselfers, but for team Spelsberg, specialization slips easily. Their expertise was firmly established in the industry in 1948, when they participated in the Hanover Industrial Fair.
It took more than a broken cooperation between Mr Kaiser and Mr Spelsberg to slow things down. In 1957, fastening bushings and thermoplastic junction boxes were available. In the 60s, they get their foot in the industrial sector with a versatile range of enclosures, junction boxes and electrical cabinet solutions. It is during these years that the red series excels.
Greater arm movements and touch with electricity trends
Jahnstraße is initially the setting for the new and improved production hall, which will be established in 1974. The 3500 square meters testify that the wheels are well underway. Patents were applied for in the 1980s, when automatic device enclosures, tensile relief elements and double membrane bushings were among the innovations, not to mention the smart modular rail systems for photovoltaic systems (https://bels.dk/da/el/diverse/solcelle/monteringsprofil-til-solcelleanlaeg ) with which the Spelsberg team takes an important step into the market for green transition.
Great moving day and German reunification 1990-99
Ramsloh's thriving industrial area is currently coming into play as the electricity manufacturer settles in two new locations and kicks off production in Buttstädt, Thuringia. At the same time, the first subsidiary, SPELSBERG spol. s r.o, is founded in Prague. England comes on board in October 1997, when the founding of Spelsberg els UK Ltd. can be celebrated.
100 light years ahead of many of the competitors
In the 00s, the electric postage sequence has long since reaped the industry's seal of quality in terms of waterproofness, impact resistance and UV resistance. Spain, Holland and our little Denmark can rejoice during this period that the still family-run company founds the subsidiaries SPELSBERG S.L, Spelsberg B.V and Spelsberg A/S.
Growing pains in Buttstädt
Fortunately for Spelsberg, the neighbor was to talk to, as demand remains high in 2011. It is therefore decided to buy the factory site next door. The administration will have a beautiful and functional setting in Schalksmühle. At this point, 80 patents have been created, including Abox, AK and AKE 12 as well as gti, which we are grateful to have dealership rights on.
No electricity challenge is too big
From 2016 onwards, it has only gone one way and that is forward, but with a clear green agenda. There are 10 subsidiaries in our neighbouring countries Norway, Sweden and Finland, but also in southern climes such as Belgium and France.
We are happy to send Spelsberg products beyond our own borders and wonder if this will increase the satisfaction of our Polish customers. On bels.dk you can choose from +700 types of panel and installation equipment, as well as a wide range of accessories for cans, all of which are "Made in Germany."
Newer additions to the product family, e.g. built-in plates for GEOS l-4050 and geos-l 3040 as well as 3030-18-o cabinets, are easily delivered on a larger scale. If it is e-mobility that you want to boost, we are ready to help you with tg bcs 3 e-bike charging stations. And since it is said that there is no bad weather, we must quickly secure you ground spikes for wp2 as well as weather protection roofs, so you can enjoy your electric bike in autumn rain and wintry precipitation.
